Plasmo-nano-devices is an Information Society Technologies Network of Excellence initiated by the European Union in its sixth Framework Programme. Sixteen Laboratories throughout Europe take part in this Network which is coordinated by Prof. A. Dereux from the Université de Bourgogne in Dijon, France. The focus of the work is the utilization of surface plasmons to develop new optical interconnects and optical components. Beyond scientific work the Network also experiments with new schemes to allocate funding dynamically.
